About Us

Petrow Food Group incorporates Petrow Food Industries Ltd. (PFI) and Quality Kernels Ltd. (QK). The group’s operations include the processing of dried fruit, nuts and nut butters, with products and ingredients supplied to the UK and overseas.

History

Petrow Food Industries was formed in 2010 from the merger of the food trading division of C.J.Petrow International Ltd and the acquisition of the processing factory in Perivale, London.
In 2013 the purchase of Quality Kernels from the Zubrance Group, enabled the Group to offer customers a complete package of trading and processing coconut, dates and dried fruit, as well as processing nuts.
Petrow Food Group is part of the C.J. Petrow Group of Companies, C.J.Petrow & Co. (Pty) Ltd which was established in South Africa in 1954. The business has grown and diversified and today comprises of 22 companies which employ over 500 people globally in the UK, South Africa, Canada, Switzerland, and Singapore.

Our Sites

Petrow Food Group today operates from its main manufacturing site in Haverhill, and its London-based operation in Perivale. Privately owned, Petrow Food Group’s Haverhill site, is strictly a peanut-free operation, whilst the Perivale site handles allergens including peanuts within segregated areas.

Our Clients

Dried fruits, nuts, dates and nut butters are distributed to food manufacturers. These include blue chip food companies and artisan manufacturers of breakfast cereals and bars, confectionery, ice cream, sauces, snack foods and ready meals.

Certification

Petrow Food Group is a member of the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC), the National Dried Fruits Trade Association (NDFTA), The Nut Association (TNA) and the Organic Farmers & Growers Association. All production takes place in an allergen-controlled environment to meet the highest levels of food safety standards.
